1286A Local Precancel Or Roller Cancel?

If a hand roller cancel, the lower line in the top cancel and the upper line in the lower cancel should NOT be parallel. If parallel, then it is likely a local. But of course you can use a hand roller cancel to create pre-cancelled items.

Your is one of the many examples of why removing stamps from their underlying cover, tag, wrapper or document can lose needed information.

Oh, in any case, if such items have full gum, it was a precancel. However, lots of OG is lost as precancel collectors regularly removed the gum as a matter of course in the specialty.
