Here's mine, from a Sparks purchase earlier this year. Came as part of the King Eddy full set (x2, plus a couple pairs and a block). Paid about 8% of CV for the lot. Admittedly, hinged and not as nice as the Siegel one, but still...
People who spend 32K on a stamp don't worry about a spouse. I tend to be with you Greg, so I watch these auctions go and scratch my head and never try to figure what moves other people.
The nice examples SCF members have shown make the point that unless you are in Steve Balmer territory, competitive auction bidding is not the way to build your collection.
