Interesting early aerial photo of Lucerne Switzerland with what looks to be Hotel Schweizerhof prominent.

What a great photo from the early days of aviation. Love that the wing can be seen. Thanks for sharing!

Front page of a 1945 brochure from Hotel Schweizerhof. The inside has illustrations of some of the lobby area and rooms.

A coincidence that I knew I had this. Just a week ago I was converting my Father's photograph album from his pre-WW2 to post-WW2 years into a digital format, and remembered this brochure had been included. He was in Europe July 1944 - Nov 1945, and visited Lucerne in Sept 1945. He had a number of photographs of the Hotel in the album, but no captions that said whether he and his Army friends stayed there or just visited to take photographs.
