Hi,

I came across this stamp when looking through a bunch of Australian stamps, and the cancel stood out to me as looking "different".

I'm curious about it. Does anyone have any information? Does P.P stand for parcel post? I assume it's common?

It looks like a faint date in the center with "32", probably 1932, considering that the year of issue of the stamp.

Thanks!

Yep, there is still some memory in the old codger yet

Check your ring diameter. (The CDS Ring)
Your stamp date is within use.
?? April 1932

Bib: WA Study Group.

Common? Never seen one, in my years apart from Literature.
That probably does not mean much. Value should be minimal (guess)

Hi rod222,

Thanks for the quick response! Ring diameter looks to be 29mm.

Yeah, I assumed it was most likely minimal value, but you never know. I didn't remember seeing one before, and it caught my eye.

Notwithstanding, this type of material REALLY catches the eye
on stamp album pages.
Sometimes I think I like them more than Mint unhinged.

A keeper.
