Thank Jim,
I did note on youtube, if you mix the colours of the Ukrainian Flag, you get Prussian Green.

Google
The name Prussian blue originated in the 18th century, when the compound was used to dye the uniform coats for the Prussian army. Over the years, the pigment acquired several other "blue" names, including Berlin, Parisian, and Turnbull's blue.

The Long, Strange History of Prussian Blue
Everyone's favorite color–from Cezanne to rhesus monkeys- started out as a chemistry experiment gone wrong, according to Joshua Cohen's history of the pigment.

Prussian Green also known as Brunswick Green. Believe the color can be traced to Brunswick (annexed by Prussia).

Has a yellow undertone.

A bluish green composed of Prussian blue and chrome yellow.

FESOFI simply calls the stamp "green," no fancy type of green there.

Do any members have the "without imprint" (Sanchez Toda)
with Perf guaging of 10

I have one perf. 10 Franco in my collection, Scott 690(var).

To make sure, I measured the perforations again manually using a loupe with a reticle with 0.1 mm increments. I came up with 10.05x10.00. Since Scott only notes them and provides no value, I would have to conclude they are scarce.

Edifil lists this perf 10 variety (along with perf 11.5 and perf 14) for various values in the Franco set without imprint. CV varies widely, this particular one is Edifil 919d, CV used 6 Euros. They can also be found imperf.

Thanks Greg!

Lovely pages Roberto
I do like to see used stamps, I am beginning to prefer them over "Mint"

Strange that perf guaging is not indicated on the pages.
Just too much brevity for my taste.

The Great Spain Mystery.

This joins the Austria Stamp (Costumes) Sc# 520 1948 3 Groschen

Both 20c stamps, but dashed hard to find !

So why is the Franco 1peseta 40c stamp so hard to find,
and why, out of the Gadzillions of "Franco" I never find a numeral on the back
when they were printed every 5 stamps. (Coils)

Was that fugitive Ink? Coils rare?

What usage was the 1p40 stamp for ? Special Handling?

I have an extra of the 1,40p stamp - PM me your address and will send over.

Edifil says it was used for "muestras de comercio", so commercial samples.

The 'Muestras de commercio' tariff was for 50-100 grammes to foreign addresses from 1 September 1953 until 10 May 1959.
The 1,40 Ptas stamp covered the 'folded postcard' tariff from 11 May 1959 until 1 August 1966.

https://grufia.com/_old/tarifas.htm

Were they ever issued in coils? I think only the 1,50, 2, 3, 4, and 6 Ptas were issued in coils, or at least coils with those numbers.
