On the theme of not besmirching someone who may have just made an honest mistake by not inspecting the item before selling, I have shown enough.

It is not casting stones, as you mentioned the seller made good by allowing you to return it so it reflects well on them. (Not to mention that no one can determine the seller's intention.) At worse, folks can pass judgment on the quality of the listing but this would hardly be a condemnation.

It is best to avoid starting a thread by only giving 'part information'; you will find that people will stop responding to your threads.

By the same token, it seems that many folks around here (and on most philatelic forums) are always in a rush to grab the torches and pitchforks and impute the worst possible motives upon the seller.

We're all human. Mistakes happen. The seller made it right. What is the problem?
