There's a book on Postal Notes: 1945 Postal Notes & 1951 The Postal Note Stamps by T.G. van der Caaij. Unfortunately it's out of print. You might find one eBay or one of the used book sites.

GregAlex, Thanks for the new post on the certified proofs! I visited the link to the Smithsonian National Museum of American History and what an eye opener! Thanks for putting me onto it.

postagedueguy, WOW! OMG what an enlightening last voluminous post you made. It must have taken quite a lot of time to organize, scan and post all those pictures along with their explanations. Thank you for that time and interest in posting for us readers.

I do not know about the other readers but I had to take two reading sessions to to digest all of the material! I am a slow reader and even had go back over some info in order to get th complete picture!

Now, later on today I am going to go back and read everything all over again to make sure I didn't miss something or to get a better understanding of all the material.

I will look online for a copy of the book on Postal Notes!

Thank you again,

John

Looked online and came up with two places, eBay and Amazon where the book was offered on flash drives for around $15. I think I'll pass on that. Heck us collators
want the real thing. I'll keep looking.

It took a little time, but I'm glad you enjoyed it. And here's something I forgot.

An expired postal note. Waited longer than 2 months to try to cash it.

postageduegut, Thanks for the uploaded pic of the expired Postal Note! Golly Gee, it there anything left?

Yes I did enjoy all the Material you provided. As I stated, I did go back and re-read everything and once a day or so refer to a particular section to make sure that I digested it correctly. I have dyslexia and have to read everything over and over in order to get the meaning of most of what I read! Once as an air traffic controller trainee when it was soooooooo busy I not only turned a call sign around but multiplied it by two! American 124 became American 842! Dang near flunked out due to that but went on to spend 27 years as an ATCS (Air Traffic Control Specialist)

I do have several questions but will hold them off until another day

John

Any more compliments on postagedueguy's exhaustive displays of these PNCs? He deserves a much broader audience than has viewed so far!
