Mine, as seen below, are of your everyday variety. Would be of interest to see some from the 1800's, more colorful ones, etc!!

Don, I visited the Stampsmarter site and viewed the 10,000, not, pictures of Fancy Cancels. I especially enjoyed the ones from the earlier days!

I have visited the Stampsmarter web site so many times now that I finally made a donation!

Thank you Don for your continued input to my posts. John

Does the search, and the thread here include spray cancels?
I have one from Orlando Florida 2010

rod, there's one there from Bend OR also from 2010. The inscription is Never Stop Looking For Missing Children.

The first generation of spray-ons was horrible, to say the least. So only decipherable ones were added to the database. The story I was told is that the cancelers were mostly never properly adjusted so that the typical print was overlong aside from often being hardly readable (city and date included) more often than not. So decent strikes are not common for a lot of cities.

Agree with your criticism, same here in Australian Pmks
A poignant message, nonetheless.

Not to bad at all. I received one, also from San Diego, but it was so smudged I didn't want to post it. John

A clear spray-on from 2014. I'm unsure if this is one from of the newer cancel devices or a properly calibrated older one.
