With these stamps, I believe there are counting/control numbers on the backs of every fifth stamp on the coil roll, just as with the German coil stamps.
The French Sower (perfed on 4 sides) 10c stamp was sold in coil form (Rouletted) first time in 1908.After the rolls had 600 or 1200 stamps in the machines.Over the years other sower stamps were available in coil form.
