I found some used copies of "The Stamp Atlas" on abebooks but see 3 different covers so assume there is more than one edition.

Anyone have any idea about the editions and how to try to get the latest?

Unable to assist.
I have the 1st Edition, Copyright 1990
Dust jacket design has the lozenges of the Airmail Envelope.

A cracker book, in my opinion.

Mine is copyright 1986. It has lozenges on the dust jacket as rod222 mentioned.

Depends how you define "edition." There have been several printings, hardcover/softcover, in several years by several publishers, each with different covers. Not sure anything has been revised or edited though.

I checked after Robert's post.
The verso page states First published 1986
Reprinted in 1989
That would suggest the dust cover remains similar in the two printings.

It does not suggest being updated.
Query: if a book is updated, would the ISBN number change

Since my edition is the 1989 production, and the dust cover inscription is "1st Edition" then I guess those two printings are identical. (1986 and 1989)

Was not aware of the 1991 issue.

I am interested in the latest editorial version. If it was just a cover change, that is tell me what I needed.

I did a little more checking and see date mentioned of 1986, 1989, 1991 but these could be just reprinting or cosmetic changes.

Mine is 1986, and no mention of version, or other.

I've used this at times over the years it has come in handy.

That's the version I have Rod.

It says 'reprinted 1989'.

Very handy reference!

I could not find any difference in the printings except for the cover and publisher so I ordered the lowest priced one off abebooks.
