Bubb,
Bavaria is found as a sub listing under Germany
in FORBIN, in case you miss it.

I appreciate it! I've been lurking for a while trying to learn but I finally decided it's better to speak and be corrected than speak wrong to myself and believe I'm right. I'm just starting out, 6 months now, but am really enjoying everything 19th century. Here's some of my early german stuff.

You have some other early German states in there, as well. Check the listings in Scott just before Germany.

Very nice. Definitely some German States in there. I think I see three maybe some four ring numbered cancels ( I am still learning) Baden or maybe Thurn and Taxis - hard to see the details. Be careful a few have some toning or is it foxing that might infect the others :) Might want to separate them.

Thank you for the info on the toning ability to spread. That would be bad. I'm currently gathering all the different early german stamps I've gathered and I want to separate them by locale. I'm mostly interested in 19th century ones although I have a decent amount of 20th century. I just get so excited when I see 18__ when I look them up. Reading about the Thurn and Taxis stamps and how they monopolized postage in the early 1800s was definitely a great thing
