Help With Early Japanese Postmarks

Hello, I have these two copies of Scott's #82. In the listing it states that these stamps could have telephone or telegraph office cancellations which decrease their value. Can someone tell me about the cancellations on these two? How do you determine if it is one of the above cancellations? Why do these reduce the value of the stamps? Thanks to any and all who respond.

Simple answer the telegraph cancel is considered a revenue cancel and not postal useage .

I believe the cancel on the left hand stamp, is Telegraphic.

Yes, the small undate double circle cancel is telegraphic.

The characters indicated read DENSHIN = telegraph, here reading L to R. If they appear in any cancel, it is assumed to be a telegraphic and not postal usage.

The other cancel is postal. Top line is the province (reading R to L), HIZEN. The second line is city/town, here NAGASAKI.
Below the line is the date (reading R to L) with year (can't read), 4th month (April), second line 30th day.

the same way HB showed my stamp.
A simple screen grab crop.
I use the text string "0000 Telegraph Denshin HB SCF"
attached to the image.
which sits at the top of my Japan Telegraph Folder
as primary information when sorting my Telegraph stamps.
Good philately involves organisation.
And HB's Knowledge and information, is preserved.

I have a 1980's MSWorks database for those.

My collection in general is an image based and *.pdf collection
hence the way I save,
My theory is Images are forever, links are temporary at best.

Did the people you mention have their posts disappear?
It would be nice to be able to save a Topic as a PDF document :-)

Not posts here, both had their own fabulous Websites
which naturally disappeared after their passing.

Regarding *.pdf of posts here, one has to be respectful of copyright,
all mine are free to use, but others may be offended.
