The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is an international organization working on issues regarding the conservation, research and restoration of world fauna, flora, landscapes, water and soil. Among the WWF issues, it concerned with the protection of endangered species. These species are at risk of becoming extinct because they are either few in numbers or threatened by changing environmental parameters. To raise awareness to the endangered species issue, countries issue stamps depicting endangered animals and plants of their region. The WWF emblem, the Giant Panda, appears on the stamps. One of my main thematic collections is about primates (Apes, monkeys and prosimians) in all aspects, including endangered primates on WWF stamps. Here I will show the issued WWF stamps and items I have in my album. I will show mainly monkeys but also several sets show other endangered species I have in my collections. Please, join me and show your WWF stamps and items.

Rod,
I collect only monkeys hence I have stamps about endangered monkeys on WWF stamps. The set I showed in my first post was only for introduction. From now I will post only monkeys. But no problem to post other WWF stamps, so we have one thread for all kind of species. |

OK Eli, if you are sure. I have about 50 WWF, absolutely none on Primates, which was a surprise. Mine are all sorts, not as nicely presented as up to your standard.

1985 Denmark Cinderellas. Varfluelarve (Spring Fly Larvae) Croatia And a cautionary tale. BATUM Badger No funds going to charity here, I suspect, rather lining pockets. At least it serves as a promotion for the WWF. |
