Protected Wild Animals, WWF stamps issued by Uganda on September 26, 1977:

Nile Crocodile (Crocodylus niloticus)
Hartebeest (Alcelaphus buselaphus)
Western Red Colobus (Colobus badius)
Dugong (Dugong dugon)
(missing one more stamp shows Pancake Tortoise (Malacochersus tornieri))





This set was jointly issued with Tanzania and Kenia. From them, I have the monkey stamp only;

The Angola colobus (Colobus angolensis) is a primate species of Old World monkey lives in most of the Congo Basin, Burundi and southwestern Uganda. The species can also be found in East Africa, especially in the montane and coastal forests of Kenya and Tanzania. Although the species is named after Angola, it is quite rare in that country. This set was issued by Angola on December 29, 2004:

The common chimpanzee (Pan troglodytes) is a species of great ape. It lives in in groups in a variety of habitats of West and Central Africa. This set was issued by Sierra Leone on May 19, 1983:

The golden langur (Presbytis geei) is an Old World monkey found in a small region of western Assam, India and in the neighboring foothills of the Black Mountains of Bhutan. This set was issued by Bhutan on June 10, 1984:

The mandrill (Mandrillus sphinx) is a primate of the Old World monkey family. Mandrills are found in southern Cameroon, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, and Congo. This set was issued by Guinea Equatorial on July 20, 1991:

Olive Colobus (Colobus verus)
Ebian's Palm Squirrel (Epixerus ebii)
African Wild Dog (Lycaon pictus)
West African Manatee (Trichechus senegalensis)

The mongoose Lemur (Eulemur mongoz) lives in dry deciduous forests on the island of Madagascar as well as in the humid forests on the islands of the Comoros. This set was issued by the Comoros Islands on February 18, 1987:

Malaysia 1994 Visit Malaysia Year RM1 ($1) Orang Utan SG523 issued 1 January 1994 with watermark inverted.

A limited edition of the same stamp commemorating ASEANPEX'94 Stamp Exhibition were re-issued on 8 November 1994 with watermark sideways. The overprinted stamps with the logo incorporated in the design were only available from the Malaysian stand at the exhibition.

Thanks, ninhao, for sharing your collection. Indeed, the Orangutan is a protected animal and Indonesia issued a set of WWF to raise awareness to this cute endangered animal (page 2 of this thread). Many orangutan stamps were issued for use in North Borneo.
