How was it produced? Through research I've found claims that the varnish was applied to the front of the paper. Most examples show best from the back, but on this example, it is clearly on the front. I've never seen one before with this appearance however. Look closely and it appears to be cancelled too. A fake quadrille print perhaps? Has anybody seen one like this?

Suggestion:
Before printing, the paper was covered with a hatch of oily varnish.

Going by the colour of your stamp, it has been tampered with
The colour has leached, resulting in the void of the varnish hatch
becoming more apparent.

Bad husbandry!

Never seen one with those strong lines ,my copies are hard to see that pattern . I would be surprised if it was real .

Was the oily varnish intended to be on the reverse side of the stamps and this one was printed on the same side?
