NBC Today showed Ukrainian collectors lining up to buy a new stamp commemorating this event this morning. Wow, has anyone else seen this video clip? Can we verify this is real news?
The stamp was issued to commemorate the defiance of Ukrainian troops on Snake Island. When the Russians told them to surrender they replied, "Russian warship XXXX you!" This occurred a few weeks ago. The "Moskva" sank yesterday.
I just ordered one each of the two different sheetlets from a Ukrainian philatelic retailer. I'll report when they arrive, if they do…the site calls the stamp a special order, and I'd guess I'm in line with a thousand others.
