Hi,
Just wondering if anyone can tell me what the overprint images on these Marx and Lenin stamps mean. I know the word Chernobyl and the price, but what do the neutron and crest mean?
TIA

A little vague in the print, but the crest is the crest of Ukraine. The neutron (?) is the symbol for nuclear power

LPet - Your 1976 Russian stamp, Michel 4637w, Scott 4525, was overprinted by Ukraine in 1993 following the breakup of the Soviet Union. It is considered a Cinderella and is one of five overprinted values on the same Russian stamp design, the other values being 9, 15, 70 and 85 Ukranian Karbovanets. They have little catalog value but are neat pieces of history.

So, between "Chernobyl," the image of an atom, and the Ukrainian trident, the puzzle's solution should be obvious.

Thanks so much for your help everyone. I didn't realise it was a Ukraine crest or an atom. Makes perfect sense now. I hadn't put two and two together yet. And, yes, I do live under a rock. haha.

Glad to see I have the full set of different values. I wasn't sure if I was missing any.
