Greetings. I have inherited an extensive collection of German stamps from 1870's through 1950's. Need lots of help. First question is regarding a 1924 German Emergency Aid stamp, MiNr 352, with perfins. I haven't seen or dealt with perfins. What do I need to know? How do I identify the perfins? Can anyone help??

Welcome Ruby!

To receive an answer to to your Germany perfin query, first locate the
"Germany perfins catalog" thread/topic using the search tool near the top of the page.

You will need to scan or photograph your stamp (JPEG image) with a clear image of the optimal, correct size. Post it on that thread, and no doubt you will receive a correct reply.

There are many collectors here who are always willing to help.

Ruby,

Collecting for the enjoyment of collecting, whatever that might be, is the name of the game. Don't hesitate to ask questions especially if you need basic information and especially more advanced sources of information for any possible topic. You should be able to find folks on this board a little further along on their collecting journey glad to share experiences. Russ
