I just found it interesting that a number of Americans were so involved with the issuing of stamps in other countries. Finbar B. Kenny produced many stamps in the 1960s for various entities in the Trucial area before the UAE was formed. I have some interest in Nepal postal history as well as connections with Mongolia.
When the back story comes to light on somethings, interesting history comes to light.
Also spending most of my life in and around UC Berkeley, it was easy to meet folks from around the world, even the small counties. As to Mongolia, there is a quite a population near Berkeley.
Plus for years, my "home stamp shop" was Globe Stamp Store (AKA Parker Hayden Co.) in Berkeley (Parker Hayden Jr., owner after his dad opened it circa 1930). It was just one half block west of the UCB campus. They handled the world and at one time or another folk from around the world came into the shop.
