The Luftpostamt München 2 mark appears to read "Mit Luftpost Befördert" meaning "to convey by airmail."
The item appears to have been carried from the UK to Munich then to Siracusa (maybe Fontanarossa, now Catania) on Sicily to Malta. That last leg is quite short.
Let's hope PostmasterGS picks up on this thread. He will know. From other markings I have seen with the same theme, I doubt it was a Graf Zeppelin cover. But this is not my area of expertise.
Doubt that it's a Zeppelin cover as these weren't based out of Munich and it would have a Zeppelin cachet. Derby 1 Sept., Munich 2 Sept. (by air, but sadly no markings on the cover for this leg), Siracusa 3 Sept. (air from Munich) then 4 Sept. received in Valetta. Nice, busy cover. Thanks for sharing.
