Hi, I inherited my grandmother's stamp collection and I was trying to decide how to organize everything. She has plate blocks, sheets, on paper US and World, MNH and lots of used. My real passion now is First Day Covers. I am looking for the Scott U.S. First Day Cover Catalogue & Checklist by M. Mellone but cannot find a decently priced copy. Does anyone here have a copy they'd like to part with? Or does anyone have another suggestion on a catalog?

qbdbubed,

Collecting for the enjoyment of collecting, whatever that might be, is the name of the game. Don't hesitate to ask questions especially if you need basic information and especially more advanced sources of information for any possible topic. You should be able to find folks on this board a little further along on their collecting journey glad to share experiences.

Wishing you many enjoyable future days in our hobby. Russ

Welcome to the forum and hobby.

I suggest searching in addall.com/used. It is a metasearch that draws in results from multiple bookselling platforms and individual stores which you can then sort by price etc., refine to include or exclude.

On the first page of results (for a keyword search on mellone first day) are a number of Mellone-Planty being sold at $9 per volume right now. You need to know what volume(s) you want, though. Hope this helps.

Good luck.
-Jonathan
