GaryVA,
The first stamp is well known/documented and can be identified as a "New York Counterfeit". The key to this is the very short cross bars on the "F" and "E" of FIVE. This is easy to recognize when placed next to a genuine stamp. These "New York Counterfeits are collectable but have limited value. A very good resource for this item can be found here.
https://www.trishkaufmann.com/confe...line?page=24The second stamp may be genuine. I can't see any specific detail that jumps out at me immediately (others may see something I missed). Even if it is genuine - given the tear across the top it has limited value as well. For this stamp, used copies have a higher catalogue value than unused. This stamp is listed in unused Vey Fine condition for $45 vs $450 for used copy. The damage is substantial.
Hope this helps. The link above can be as a great resource for information on Confederate Stamps in general.
