The topic of pollution...... Air...... Land......Rain...... Sea. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The air It would appear that because of pollution the ice at the poles are gradually disintegrating causing many problems for low lying countries, this relates to rising temperatures caused by degradation in the ozone layer from the burning of fossil fuels releasing what is known as greenhouse gases. The land Soil contamination, soil pollution, or land pollution as a part of land degradation is caused by the presence of xenobiotic chemicals or other alteration in the natural soil environment. It is typically caused by industrial activity, agricultural chemicals or improper disposal of waste. Wikipedia Acid Rain Acid rain is rain or any other form of precipitation that is unusually acidic, meaning that it has elevated levels of hydrogen ions. Most water, including drinking water, has a neutral pH that exists between 6.5 and 8.5, but acid rain has a pH level lower than this and ranges from 45 on average. Wikipedia The Sea Marine pollution occurs when substances used or spread by humans, such as industrial, agricultural and residential waste, particles, noise, excess carbon dioxide or invasive organisms enter the ocean and cause harmful effects there. Wikipedia The outcome https://www.bbc.com/future/article/...om-pollution What stamps have you got, that cover this topic ?

"Life at 50°C" is harsh. Here at the fringe of London, it goes up to 35°C this afternoon and rail will be longer, roads will be melted and land shrinks badly. Two more stamps from 36 years ago. The Mauritius stamp is designed carefully - I thought the scan made its name of country swayed, but that is an expression of a mirage, that will bring us a feeling of hot air. This one below, I have no information on it - might be draught, or could be acid rain the stamp is warning at. Senegal 1973 |

Thank you, 22crows for letting me know the depicted tree of the stamp above. And I read about Baobab... another rather robust lives on earth are struggling to survive, against the climate crisis. Human activities first caused pollution in near-by area, but already spreading to be the collective problem of whole globe. Bulgaria 10 November 1976 / Protection of the environment / design: A. Quote: The following is of the floods from 1966 in Laos relating to the Mekong Delta. Thanks, Wilding. Several years after that flood, on September 1, 1973, Laos issued a set about Lao Scouts. One of the stamps shows Lao scouts helping people during the 1966 flood of the Mekong: |
