Status uses the Auction Mobility LLC platform which is what auction houses such as Grosvenor, Siegel, Feldman all use. |

Thank you https://www.auctionmobility.com/--------------------------------- Quote: The thing is for me with having large multiple bids is what sort of funds do I have to back up all my bids. John, there is an option with some auctioneers, to.......... (here I use my own memory of the correct verbiage) "Restrict all my bids to a total of $xxx.00 dollars " That way you can make multiple bids, and when your limit is reached, further bids are cancelled. At least that's how I understand it. Ask Status on this point. |

Bit late answering Rod. lol
Yes status will spread bidding amounts but for them to do that is another issue again. Sadly I know this from experience with them from years gone bye. |

My beef with Status comes from them shipping a lot via sea to the US without asking me. It took over two months to get to me and the woman there was a wanker on the rude side. Never again. |

Placed a bid with Status once a while back. I was the winning bidder. Status seemed apologetic. The price of the stamp, commission and shipping was a gut punch and I am a no problem cash guy. Never bid again. Maybe that is why the slow boat to China shipping. But the option should be yours! |

Surely the price of the stamp itself shouldn't have come as a shock? The buyers commission is stated on the home page, so no surprises there. Shipping is odd. If I were overseas I'd be asking before bidding. They sell on eBay and their shipping costs are sometimes bemusing, to me anyway. In any event, if the information is not stated up front, it's the buyer's responsibility to find out before bidding. |

That includes GST but I don't know if overseas buyers would have to pay that component?
If not, it's 19.5%. For one local comparison, Abacus is 18%.
One thing's for sure, if somebody really really wants something in an auction, they'd pay 30% if they had to. |

So nice to get things sorted with status about who is buying kiloware from them. Asked about if the one person was still winning all the very recent kiloware lots. Am wrong. The person who purchased all the kiloware is no longer doing this and all kiloware lots are genuinely open to all bidders. Now can go forward bidding with status. Will now be able to win some of these lots with status. |
