I am about blind from trying to figure out the where and whens of my title. But I am absolutely hooked on India.
What are the best resources beyond Scott or is that definitive enough?
Thanks all
Paul

Paul, glad to see you're around. Never gave an answer on Faridkot although this post may be it.
Have you considered going to StampSmarter and Don's list of catalogs ? And you can always go to the APS for info if you are a member

Gibbons publishes an India and States catalogue.

Its general Commonwealth catalogue would probably suffice.

Thanks Peter - Your link is part of my new passion. I still have not found the Faridkot overprints but your link did show the underlying stamp. I did not think of Don's site and am going there now.
Geoffha - Thanks for the Gibbons link.
Time for my eye drops.

Paul.

At the onset of the pandemic decided to change focus from
WW collecting to a handful of countries/areas. India and States being one of them.

Have found two resources to be quite helpful. The latest edition of the aforementioned SG India and States catalogue and John Barefoot's BC Revenues.

There are other speciality catalogues available as well. However, upon examination (secured on loan from APRL), found they exceed my current needs.

A third resource which I found to be very helpful is a long-running series
of postings (one for each stamp-issuing entity) which appeared some years ago on a discussion list based in the Australia. Believe the author is/was "Tony Macq".

Good luck. Fascinating collecting area.

Thanks all for the responses, links and advice. I've made my way through an older SG album that had a fair representation of India and states. Now trying to locate a lot of about 30 envelopes that I purchased probably 40 years ago. I know they are here somewhere.
