1851 1c Franklin.help Identifying The Type

Could you please help me identify the type for this
1c Franklin. I'm still learning how to do this but it
appears to me to be a type II. Thank you much for
any input !

Take a look at 27R2 (which would make it a Type II Scott #7) on the Deporto website. A sharper image would help nail it down.

Looks like break in top line making it type IIIa

But strong possibility that top is scuffed or altered to appear as this

Otherwise like playing from Caper

no sign of either ball at the bottom, so that rules type I. Staring at what might be the top line of the oval was inconclusive about a "break". Might be worth an opinion from an expertiser.

I would not recommend sending it in for a cert. Caper123 is spot on.

It is a type II. Plate 2, position 27 right.

The marks in the letter "O" of One match perfectly with Doporto's example. I also think the dot in the letter "S" of US is there but like requested above, a better scan is needed.

It is Sc #7, Type II, 27R2 IMO as well. On this particular example the top frame line is weak but not broken.
