The downloaded version says Originally compiled by Beverly S. King and Max G. Johl in November, 1932. It then adds that it was entirely revised and enlarged by Max G. Johl in March, 1937. Is there a 1947 version?
I thought they issued it again in 47, but I could be wrong. King died right around that time, unfortunately. Wiki says King died in 1935, but that is wrong, he spent the war working in Washington DC. He died in an auto accident.
In 1947 he published his work "The United States Commemorative Stamps of the Twentieth Century, 1902-1947" in two volumes. That is what I was thinking of.
