Pascoe, the Christmas Tree is rare and it catalogs for $2.75? That does not sound right

Plate Block of 4 is $2.50 at mystic.

I assume that he means 'relativity' since all other #1240, 5c Christmas Tree PB are valued much lower.

The impressions data were complied from various issues of "The Bureau Specialist" from late 1963 and 1964. The two plates above marked with "*" also come in tagged versions.

While plate 27602 had the fewest impressions at 60,434, it is far from rare. If I had to pick an adjective, I would be inclined to call plate 27602 "less common" than the others.

John - chiming in that this is a great analysis. It also illustrates that some ultra-modern stamps are "less common" if they have certain characteristics. For example, the Bobcat 1 cent coil stamps produced in 2012 with Plate P2222 had a production of 30,000,000 BUT those with a plate number and back number occur every 270 stamps. So that means there are about 111,112 of such stamps out of the 30 million. Like the Christmas stamps there are particular stamp subtaypes that make a common stamp a bit less common and can help better value one's collection.

One seller who is conscientious on his site in identifying less common varieties is Bardo stamps as well as some other excellent ones such as Stamp starter.

It shows that when obtaining "common" stamps there are ways to boost their interest (and, possibly, value) with less common sub-varieties/ypes. Your analysis clearly illustrates this.
