The following stamp, issued by Republic of China (Taiwan) on October 8, 2015, is the only stamp I know shows prosimian in art. It shows Ringed-tail Lemur from Cochin-China (today part of Vietnam), painting by the Chinese-Italian painter Giuseppe Castiglione (1688 – 1766). The Lemur probably brought from Madagascar to China Issued in a set shows four Castiglione paintings: |
