Broadly, I would suggest there are two types of errors:
1. Manufacturing errors during the cancel-casting (like the example here) as a permanent part of the device. These do not occur very often, but they often get used for a long time thus not necessarily rare or valuable, and
2. clerk errors in the placement of removable time, day, month, year slugs being inserted incorrectly. Quite common. Seldom any additional value.
