Spelling Error In Postmark

Anyone seen this one before, and any idea how long it was in place before being corrected?

For those of us who don't live in Canada, can you describe the spelling error? I have another example around here somewhere, but I would assume that spelling errors, date errors, upside down dates, are quite common. Collectible, but probably of limited extra value.

Yes, it should be 108 Mile. Not concerned about the value, I'm interested in simply knowing if this was a long term error etc..

Broadly, I would suggest there are two types of errors:

1. Manufacturing errors during the cancel-casting (like the example here) as a permanent part of the device. These do not occur very often, but they often get used for a long time thus not necessarily rare or valuable, and

2. clerk errors in the placement of removable time, day, month, year slugs being inserted incorrectly. Quite common. Seldom any additional value.
