Approximately 5% increase. At least it's under inflation rate.

If they had only purchased all EV's there would be no need for an increase.

So, if you want postage rates to remain stable,
workers income to rise with inflation,
whilst financial suckers, Amazon and Facebook pay very little tax,

Then you need to run for parliament.

Hi Rodney,
Here in the US, companies are avoiding taxes using tax laws that politicians write, vote on, and pass. If you look at the 6000+ page US Internal Revenue Code there is only around 30-35 pages dedicated to the raising of tax revenue while the balance (5950+ pages) is about reducing taxes through the use of tax deductions, tax credits and other incentives.
Also note that companies typically get 'incentives' which leverage their Federal income taxes as ways to entice them (to stay in the US, to put locations in some politicians back yard, etc.). These companies also pay large amounts of other taxes (that many seem to forget or ignore) in the form of payroll taxes, state taxes, local taxes, road use taxes, gasoline taxes, real estate taxes, and import tariffs . And of course, Amazon and Facebook employees also pay significant amounts of taxes on their wages (which the companies have to offset by paying them more) which goes into federal hands.

At least nice to see the non-machinable surcharge is only increasing by a penny and additional ounces aren't increasing. Increases to the non-machinable surcharge (just about doubling in just the last couple years) have actually been the biggest culprit in rising postage rates I've had to deal with in recent years.

If there are going to be two of these increases per year and each is around 5%, then it closely mirrors the inflation rate.

I'll never use up that box of 3 cent commemoratives unless I use one or two at a time to make a rate.
