Exactly 25mm tall, SLW, authentic looking perfs. Authentic looking top and bottom edges. Someone wrote 388 on it in years past. The top right edge is a little smooshed down, it isnt cut crooked. No clue where or when I got it.
If its a real Scott 388, $2500+. This is one of the most faked coils. Too cheap to get a cert on it. I have another thats about .1 mm under 25.

The top edge is much less straight than the bottom. Very noticeable on the first, reverse picture.

It will not be "real" without a cert, preferably from the PF.

Scott notes:

Stamps offered as 388 frequently are privately perforated examples of 384 or examples of 375 with top and bottom perfs trimmed.

The values for used coils are for examples with contemporaneous cancels that can be authenticated by expertizing committees. used coils with cancels from the 1950's exist...

The bottom edge is a very clean cut (scissor?) but not straight edge, and is not parallel to the top edge (also not straight). I suspect this is altered.

I'm also a bit dubious for reasons others have stated. It also seems a bit too well-centered (top to bottom) for a W/F coil.
