I will be starting weekly giveaways after Thanksgiving as I seek to dispose of duplicates and stamps of countries that I am not collecting. Nothing special - batches of 50,100 or 200 stamps of various countries, primarily in used condition, that would usually qualify as kiloware. However, if you are a beginning collector or are looking at starting a new country, these batches might be of interest to you. In particular, those members who have less than 50 posts might think about participating more frequently in this forum so that you can get over that hurdle and be able to throw your hat into the ring for the giveaways, since I will need to communicate with you if you win (need 50 or more posts to be able to message). Also, any lurkers out there who check in from time to time might think about signing up for the forum and participating in discussions to qualify for the giveaways. I will be back with the first giveaway shortly after Thanksgiving. Just giving a heads-up; please don't post any replies of interest until I actually begin posting the specific giveaways. Cheers. ***Title Updated - Mod***

Thank you for the advance notice, Oracle, maybe we'll get more of the newbies posting. Really folks, it is easy, no one will bite. We already know that you are interested, heck, you registered! |

Same here... I can't seem to get to fifty fast enough... maybe that's a good thing though. It makes me think more about what I should write. |

My intent was not to induce people to just make random posts in order to qualify for these contests, but to encourage new members to engage meaningfully in the forum by asking questions, talking about what you're collecting, contributing to discussions on topics of interest, etc. As littleriverphil points out, no one will bite. So I'm going to postpone the giveaways until end-December - moderators, would appreciate your changing the heading accordingly. |

Hello, I am new to this forum so I still have a lot of posts to go before hitting 50 :-) so I will be exploring more on the forum in the meanwhile. |

Starting today, I'll be posting pictures of the batches of stamps included in each weekly giveaway. There'll be three batches of about 300-400 stamps each week. Again, pretty much kiloware-type stuff, and there will be some duplicates, but it's free.
The batches of stamps will be in alphabetical order by country, so feel free to bid on whatever batch that interests you, or bid on all three in a particular week, or wait until your favorite countries come up to bat. I'll be picking three different winners at random each week on the following Monday.
Depending on the response as the contest goes on, I may modify how many batches of stamps go up for bid each week.
Again, you need 50 or more quality posts to be able to participate to be able to message your mailing instructions to me if you win. And please make sure your messaging capability is turned on.
The photos that I post will show the stamps in a page of a stock book; however, I will be removing the stamps and putting them into glassines in order to mail to the winners.
And, as always, please consider supporting this forum or StampSmarter. Cheers. |

Hi! This is great! I browsed through your pages and saw two Shqipëria/Albania stamps that I could add to my topical albums: pansies and strawberries! I have so many random topics, I shake my own head! My main collections are Canada (mint and used), USA, France and CEPT/Europa. I also collect joint issues from these countries. I find that for me, it's a way to keep it manageable!
My post numbers keep climbing up! |

Love your generosity. Although my collecting interests have narrowed, I may put my name in the hat for something. Keep up the good work. |
