Advertising For Counterfeit Forever Stamps Appearing On SCF

Is it even possible to block the Google Ads which advertise the sale of counterfeit USA Forever stamps from appearing on SCF

This goes directly to the safety of SCF members, not to mention is a terrible optic for the site. Does anyone else get annoyed by them?

I think I know what the answer will be (that the management has no control over what is displayed in these ads) but I do think it is worth asking about.

This site uses ads to generate income so it can remain freely available to everyone. Blocking those ads denies this income and increases the chance that this community will no longer be viable. Having some ads displayed seems like a small price to pay to keep this community going.

The site gets revenue regardless if you click on any of them. The ads typically work by understanding what sites a user has previously looked at or clicked on and presenting similar ads.

Seriously, those nude art pictures by Muslim states are the most absurd fake CTOs.

That is what I have been thinking as well. The best proof those are cinderellas and not stamps is that if they were intended for use in those countries, Muslim countries would have issued stamps depicting Christian arts and nude paintings, or even portraits of humans.

Unfortunately Don, there are a whole "species" of people who think the entire internet should be free. They couldn't possibly care less how much time, effort, and money people put into the things they use regularly. They want it all for free.

I am seriously considering installing nag pages for people that block unless they are a supporter. I've had the software installed to immediately detect the software for years. There some of them in this thread. Blocking and have never donated a dime. Totally selfish, especially since the ads here are EXTREMELY uninstrusive. There are no popups, popunders, flyouts, or anything like that here. Never has been.

Freakin' frustrating, maybe I need to send some of that back.
