To be fair, "huge" in this hobby is tens of thousands.

However, I was surprised for the count, at the reserve price asked.
A temptation.
However only supplies postage information to US.
I immediately look eleswhere.

Rod. Email sent to you through the system. I'll be in your area next year, so can possibly deliver some items from the States.

Often the limited destination countries that eBay publishes are not what the dealer intended, and dealers asked the buyers to disregard eBay destination and fees and contact the dealer directly.
So, to be on the safe side, you might want to message the dealer.

Indeed Rob,
good advice for most, and makes sense.
However in my instance, I find if the vendor cannot advise shipping in the listing then I move on, too busy to be constantly asking questions which are addressed in the ebay listings at point of entry.

Ebay itself creates problems, our member Geoffha in England
rues poor response, I may have bid on several, but ebay advises "does not ship to Australia"
So again, I just move on.

Rod, I didn't mean to exclude Australia. The way eBay lets you 'add' shipping services is quite wonky...

Priority mail international is in the ballpark of $40, which I just assumed would be a prohibitive cost, and international package delivery (would have to be a "package", as opposed to an envelope, given the bulk of the loose stamps) would be half that price, but then would be untraceable - something I'm reluctant to do, given the nature of international mail these days. The last time I sold a larger lot to an international bidder, they paid for registered mail (Italy). But do let me know if I'm off the mark and I'd be happy to update...

Sending as just an international parcel comes with tracking and should cost about 17$ for that amount of stamps. Though in my opinion that's still a rip off. I usually get away with large envelopes untracked. The way I see it is if I paid too much for the stuff I wouldn't put it on eBay anyway given the nature of those bozos.

Thanks Gvol,
very polite of you.

yes Understood, and aware of current costs,
recently paid in excess of $500 postage on literature from US

I chase Billigs single volumes in England
very affordable at circa £5 but postage £23

I now limit my searches for stamps only in Australia, for that very reason.

Good luck with your auction, a nice range you have there.

PS: I do still receive swaps from SCF members from US, in normal envelopes
for $3.50 US (contains about 50- 100 stamps)

How can one criticize eBay's response??? Here's a typical answer from customer service, with minor changes.

Thank you for contacting eBay customer support regarding your concern. My name is Obangmenlabam Mrunmai and I will do my best to assist you.

I understand that you are concerned regarding Australian sheep farting. Please allow me to help you in the best possible manner.

It would be much appreciated if you share with us the reason for asking.

Also if you have any more additional information relating to that like screenshots and Richter scale measurements.

So once you share the additional information, we could dive in and guide you with the appropriate resolution worry not.

On reviewing the details, I can see that the sheep fart because they want to.
Therefore, you need not worry about climate change.

I am quite optimistic that the information shared above will be helpful for you. Your understanding and patience are highly appreciated.

Kind Regards,
Obangmenlabam Mrunmai

No. Sorry. I was thinking about the impending tax on sheep farts in New Zealand and the environmental havoc they wreak. Burps, too.
