Why would a German laboratory advertise a stamp with Cyrillic letters? The design looks a bit like the 19th-century stamps of Russia and Finland.

Why would a German laboratory advertise a stamp with Cyrillic letters?

Because, it's the other major alphabet used in Europe, and a company would be stupid to ignore hundreds, thousands, or millions of potential customers (depending on product), for want of a cheap stamp? There's no confirmation that the stamp is advertising, per se; it may have been affixed to a bill of lading, package, or crate of product, perhaps akin to a certificate of authenticity. By the by, Lingner used to make Odol mouthwash, my late father's favorite.
