Rod's barcode decodes to this image file path
https://static.wixstatic.com/media/...0993~mv2.jpg

As I mentioned, Viking barcode decodes to this
0210324074136;8900;332800;8560201305;89590861;8560;497;773;572;3221;;

This is a typical machine readable decode used by scanners tied to equipment which is then tied to a database. The database field delimiters are the ";" and the double ";;" delineates the end of the decoding.

The 'end of decode' is needed because these are typically used in high-speed equipment which results in a large amount of streaming decoded data.

I assume that this barcode contains postal system information including sending and destination locations and other routing info.

Interesting to know how much information is stored, I think you are right about the postal information, The first part could be 021 Year 2021Month03 the 8900 is the postal code for Hallisberg in Sweden, the 8500 is the postal code for Kolind Denmark.

Here is another Stamp relatet Item it shows you can scan large images and use it in the QR code. Belgium Albert the I.

Note that the barcode above only contains the path to the image, not the image data itself. QR barcode can only contain a maximum of 2953 bytes of binary data (not enough for a normal sized bitmapped image itself)

Thanks Don
I am reading up on QR codes for my Samsung

To be honest, it is rather humiliating to be so IT challenged, as I am.
I belong in the 1950's
