i noticed what appears to be a printing error on this Elvis stamp.
I first noticed where it says ELVIS the top stamp in both pix there appeared to be a backlight effect on the left side. Then I noticed the blue of his shirt is much smaller if not non existant in the top pix. Looking around I noticed the hair by his right eye appears to be double stamped and all of his hair is overall darker. Where his fingers contact the microphone the "shadow" of black in the grill of the microphone is encroached on his fingers. Overall the microphone is blurrier as is alot of other places. Also his eyes are no longer blue. Alos, there are double black spots on the corners of his lip on his left. I think the black ink may have been appied just a tad to the right on this stamp because none of the other areas where there is no black involved seems to be ok!? thoughts?

Estimates of its value?

thx, John

It is a color shift. There are quite a few of these on Ebay and Hipstamp for sale. The prices are all over the place so I would not use them for a gauge. That being said the example below is MNH and is quite dramatic. The seller is asking $75 but accepting offers. Your stamp with a relatively minor shift and being used might be worth a couple of dollars if you could find a buyer.

If that.

Likely would sell for less than the cost of selling it, if sold by itself.

As to rogdcam's eBay example, $75 is quite wishful thinking for an item well under $25 in knowledgeable EFO circles.

While The King is quite popular this was one of the larger issues in modern times with over half a billion, 500,000,000++, made.

I doubt the sale of the stamp would buy you a fried peanut butter and banana sandwich and the purchase of any burning love is completely out of the question.
