How do you check if this is real or fake 524A? if not fake what is today's value? And what do the two D's on the back mean? With respect

It is genuine with owners handstamps. Nice piece. Usually these are sold in mint condition. This pair is CTO. A MNH set of pairs of 524a-525a recently sold for $1500 at Raritan. I would estimate your pair to net perhaps $300 +/-. I assume that the gum is intact? |

@Rogdcam, No there is no gum intact. Thank you for your repiles by the way, they are very helpful to a novice like myself. |

Do you have a point to make Floortrader? Yes, it is real. I have owned a number of them that were certified. If you have something particular to say than say it. |

The differences are in the image quality (scanner/camera) and Floortrader"s stamp is soiled. These are rarely if ever faked except when a perforated copy is trimmed which this one obviously was not.
If someone has a different opinion on something it is helpful to make a case with details rather than casting doubt and providing nothing. |

The details of the buildings on the perforated stamp is much more in focus and precise. |

floortrader, It is grossly unfair to declare another's stamp "It is a fake" and provide absolutely no detail, reference, documentation or other proof to back up such an assertion. |

I looked at some online catalogs. At first, I found that both perforated and imperforated stamps were the less focused variety. Then I found an online Russian catalog where both stamps were focused. So based on design sharpness only, I couldn't find an indication of what's genuine and what's fake. |

What the heck ......feed up with people crying about something .....it goes on and on .....even here .
People crying about inflation everyday ......I had to come on here and tell people this is great { I just locked in a CD at 4.9% } ,which was the top of this inflation garbage . Stock market doing crazy stuff ,great time to make money to spend on stamps [ I got funds now for Kelleher and Dutch Country auctions this week ].
Then go to Jiu-Jitsu school to relax and these Law -enforcement people and ex-military come in ,they are ages 20's and 30's years olds ,so my professor sends them to a 73 year old on the mat They start crying they can't do anything to me .
Then I come here and show a real stamp next to a imperf. pair and what happens ? Then posted a second real stamp and they are still crying they can't tell the difference . Look at my stamps and look at the FAKE if you don't know the difference ,you don't know stamps ........we got too much crying going on here. |
