Is This Postmark From The Glasgow In Ontario

Found this in a job lot I purchased, is this a postmark from the Glasgow in Ontario ?

Also another couple of printed postal items…any idea

Hi Rfw125,

I believe this is a postmark from Glasgow in Scotland.

The stamp was presumably posted on a Canadian ship and handed in to a post office in Glasgow and given the PAQUEBOT / POSTED AT SEA machine postmark.

The flower stamp is from a Canadian "domestogramme" aerogramme / air letter sheet.

I believe there was a different flower design for each Canadian province and territory.

And the 32c train is cut from a prepaid postal envelope.

Here's another couple I've found

1st one has got the Royal Train post office on the postmark.
and the second one I assume is just a slogan

Royal Train 1951 Pmk (on cover circa asking $20)

"Victory" slogan in Morse Code (common) OC6a cancel

First conceived by Belgian Lawyer Victor De Lavelye in 1941 whilst in London

Hi Rod,

"V for Victory" always makes me think of the old BBC recording made by the great percussionist James Blades that was used so often on broadcasts to occupied Europe.

I've heard it many times over the years, I guess usually in documentaries about the war, but I've just spent 30 minutes trying to find a recording online and sadly failed!
