Any advice on which stamp to keep out of these two sc80's The left hand one is better cantered but has been mounted. The right hand one is not so well centered but is Mint Never Hinged Lighting shadow showing on stamp photo

Assuming the previously hinged one has no thins, my personal preference would be that one. I would sell the other one. |

I would keep them both, but if I can only have one, the left one, and it isn't a close call (for me). The design drifting all the way into the perfs is close to a non-starter for me. |

Yes, I agree. The left hand stamp is by far the prettiest looking one!

The left one, by far (if no thin). Come to think of it, even if it had a small thin due to hinging, I'd probably keep it over the one on the right.

If you want to look at your album and show to friends, the left one have nice appeal (F+, value about 100$). If you only care about value, then keep the right one, G to VG, NH premium of 200% so about 50 + 100 = 150$. |

@Gilles le timbre, I know Unitrade shows a 200% MNH premium for this listing.
In my part of the U.S., the market for Canada is not very strong so I have nothing to judge this by. Are serious Canada collectors willing to pay the MNH premium for poor examples, such as the one on the right? (I sort of assumed that the premium would only come into play for better examples.)
If I had to try to sell one for the best money, I would have expected to do better selling the stamp on the left, but I don't know what I don't know. |

I would not pay a premium for a design drifting into the perfs unless the scarcity was really high, it's a non starter for me as well.
The left one will show so much better in an album that the right one.

If you display the front, keep the left one and if you display the back, keep the right one. |

Keep the left one and have it expertly regummed. (Calm down, just joking) |

Glad your joking, I do not believe in regumming and will not purchase any regummed stamps…to me it's like faking. |
