I found this in a collection I recently acquired. Is it half of an imperforate pair? Were these stamps ever used for postage? (Unitrade only catalogs unused imperforate pairs.) Thank you in advance for any knowledge you can provide.
If I were to buy an imperf, I will always seek a "pair" to ensure it is genuine. Some of the 1/2 c had large margins, so one could be tempted to trim perf to make it look like imperforated. That is one reason why catalogues often list imperforates as pairs. Note also that many imperf reported (74a) in catalogue are from the ABNC archives (1990). so unlikely fitting the type of cancellation shown on your stamp.
