Though I am not able to dedicate the time I want to the site, I still do something philatelically daily - be it make a video of my stamps to educate on social media, work on my main collections, or read about the history of my stamps.

Those who know me know that I did not have a scanner so I shared a lot of photos which was fine but not ideal in capturing the beauty of my stamps. So I figured I would share some of my favorites scanned - just for fun and because well it is eye candy :) - I hope all are well.

I guess not, it's a cheap stamp to send to expertize.
Since this is a mail fraud, it might be worth more than the original.

Hola Roberto! espero que estes bien. No - definitely no expertizing here. I really am not even sure where I got that stamp sc#56? (maybe in a small mixed lot) - I know it is not worth much at all a few cents. But I am interested in how to tell that it is a fake - and why would someone fake such a low value stamp . Your insight is appreciated. I will mark it as so in my pages.

Gracias, Nora.

This sent me running for my Fletcher postal forgeries book and I actually found it. Mrita's is the genuine stamp. Fletcher notes 4 different postal forgeries by types as listed by Tort.

There are several points in each forgery type that are different from the original so not risking copyright infringement, I'm not going to copy the pages here. Besides, many other Ysabel issues of Spain have had postal forgeries made. There are (expensive) Spanish books on these postal forgeries, by Graus & Loro and Tort (I think). Coverage is also in the book mentioned, Postal Forgeries of the World by Fletcher.

The basic rate stamps of the time were/are exactly the target of postal forgers. They would be in demand and easy to sell. Sell a lot and you can make a profit, even at discount. Just like with US Forever stamps today.

Hello.
What is very noticeable and made me check is the neck, they are always all stripes, nothing white.
Compared to the 4 types of fakes, I don't match any of them, that's why I asked if he was expertized.
Regards.

Very nice stamps. The 1 1/2d Lilac is a very nice example, as is the St. Vincent stamp.

Thank you NSK- I was so pleased with my 1/1/2d Lilac find. Many of my QV stamps have part of her obscured with cancels- I really enjoy this stamp.

Yes! People love to see them. A lot of questions arise which I am happy to answer- a lot of younger people get interested as well - I even had a lady about my age decide to start an album so that was really cool.
