Possibly is the best Guess
4-2-2-4
Only other is 634 (Ramsgate) and the 4 does not match.

The database shows curled 3, Walsall, but no dates or information
So I would say OK for Walsall

This doesn't match, still researching.
Nothing so far, perhaps we need a strike before 1887 an earlier hammer with
curled "3"

Stamps4Life, yours is a 134 of Bristol, first type from 1844.

Nice work Bobby, Now I see it.
The 2 bars on the left were confusing things.

Vayolene's is just a little different (thinner bars)

Is that not a Duplex?
The "4" has no serif on the crossbar as well.

I think it is from plate 81. This was registered 12 January 1848.
It is very early for a duplex. Of course, the stamp may have been lying around, but the odds are against this being used after duplex cancels were introduced.

Vayolene's image is certainly a duplex. Stamps4Life's stamp is not.

Parmenters's works on numerals will help to clarify. They're at the GBPS website here:

I'd say so stamps4life

The 618 wasn't used at the time.
