These indeed appear to be examples of the same flaw as described in the referenced 2016 thread.
Observe the die cut flaw at both top and bottom. Plus, the stamp is approximately 1mm wider than than normal, thereby causing extra white space at left.
Yep this can happen when making the die cut. It also could be damage from installation if the die cuts on press. Most likely a mistake in preparation of the die cuts them self that was not seen or overlooked and make it's way threw quality control. You would find a number of these sheets. They would have been made in bulk. How may was made I would have known idea. Nice find and yes an genuine error in die cut. Good find.
This was not due to damage or improper manufacturing of the die cut mats. This was a big misregistration (shift) of the die cutting - the weird part in the middle of the stamps was supposed to be split between 2 panes.
The cause reminds me somewhat of the wide spacings on the K/N and other issues of the late 20's. Also a misregistration which was supposed to be between panes.
Here you see the perferations of the 37 cent flag coil. As you can see the perferations in the margins of the sheet in question is similar to those at the top of the coil stamp.
Then if you look at the top of the error stamp you will see they are similar to those in the sheet that make up the perpendicular perferations with out the horizontal perferation running threw them.
It seems the die cuts were made up of wrong blades intended for the coil stamp. So I believe this error accured when the die cut were manufactured. What do you think.

Even without seeing the images. this theory is completely incorrect.
