I mentioned these in another thread, but that mention might not be seen by everyone.

Stamps of India has a "digital bookshelf" page with a number of 19th-century Postal Manuals available as free downloads, here:

They have lots of interesting nuggets that might be of interest to the classic-era collector. Lists of post offices, postal rates, tips for successfully getting your package across the Overland Mail route, and lots more.

I found them interesting; hopefully someone else will, too.
