@rod222

Funny how things come and go at times.
If you recall, Rod, earlier this year or late last year, you and I exchanged scans of postal stickers almost daily for a couple of weeks if not longer.
We both seemed to be going through a period of finding new ones rather easily, then suddenly not a new one to be had for love or money and my collection stopped at 99.
I was really looking forward to my 100th.
I think I shall look carefully at your posting and see if I can steal one to achieve my magic number.
All with your prior permission, of course.
In the meantime, here's one of my favorites:

I also have always enjoyed this Lindbergh overprint even though it is a regular issue.

Nice Airmails boys, 2 of my favourites as well,
if only the Canadian had been bicoloured, it would have been a classic.

Tony, my examples have ceased as I no longer can afford "junk boxes"
they are fetching regularly in excess of $300 at auction now.

The shoe boxes I used to get in Montréal for $60 - $70 are now $250 - $275.
A couple of weeks ago I was offered a cigar box for $65 instead of a shoe box.
I asked why the prices have gone up so much in price, I was given the Montréal answer for any change: Ah, c'est la vie, mon vieux!

Here's one of my favourite airmails. It's a specimen block of the unissued (or just issued but not for very long) Ecuador 1935 Columbus set (Sanabria #55-59).

I've picked the 50 centavo value because of its colour:

Nice stamps from Ecuador there Nigel
Looks like a Fokker at top left.
Ecuador = Equator Muestra = Specimen.

Tony: The problem is, a lot of the junk is not filtering
through into circuit sheets.
Collectors do not realise yet, by sticking their registration
labels, cinderellas, the ripped and torn, etc & etc there are buyers
like us who would snap them up

Yay!

Mac posted a Costa Rica Airmail!

My favourite airmail stamp... from the 1934 first definitive airmail issue of Costa Rica:

I like this stamp as it has an aircraft on it, nice colour, and classic engraving.

In the eye of the beholder, I guess.
I find this stamp simple but rather attractive.

What a feast of lovely stamps!

I sold a swag of hagner sheets this morning,
which gave my wallet serious purchasing power.

I picked this up for 20c Bobgggg (how extraordinary!)
actually I thought I had bought a couple but cannot find them at the moment.
