Hi! Im new in the forum. I need some help about this stamp.

Maybe its a 557c? that inscription on the back

Have you checked the perforation rate (not the perf count)? What did you find?

One important thing to learn is to not quickly trust what is written on the back of a stamp. Another is to assume that you have the most common version of a stamp unless you can prove otherwise. If you are going to continue collecting stamps, then you should probably get a good stamp perforation gage and learn how to use it appropriately. Good luck, and welcome to the hobby.

My humble opinion is that the writing identifies the stamp as a 557 followed by a dash and the price, 8 cents (8c).
