OK, so this is an eye test. While looking through my collection, I noted a small difference in the shape of the "r" in sapphire. Is this due to a registration error, or is it possible that a different cylinder/die was used at one time? A mint stamp is shown below, and an overlay of two different used stamps follow.

These look like photogravure printings. Could it be a positional error?
