Good Evening,

I have a 1942 St. Pierre and Miquelon #J42 which I would like your opinion on please. Is this stamp real or a forgery?

floortrader, I'm not seeing your full page of that set. Can you point to it, or just drop it here? (You know, I'm sure, that when you go to upload a photo, you have the option of using a previously-uploaded photo, which costs bobby nothing in extra bandwidth.)

souldjer777, these overprints can be "plated" from the 25 settings. If it doesn't match one of those, it's no good. The trick is that most of the SPM Libre France overprints use the same 25 settings, but these particular postage dues use a different setting of 25, so the typical plating information is of no help on these.

I claim no particular expertise. If anyone has contrary information, as always, post away.
